Is it lamb? If so I can sort of see what they're aiming for, but a sharp mint sauce would sort that out.

Nah. Beef and Yorkshire pudding. Really tasty then I watched in shock as they covered theirs in it.
A mate used to have tomato sauce with his. But he was a fat cunt.

haha, this runs deep in our family, thought it was normal till I moved out. Vinegar on your greens with gravy is amazing.

My mum used to give me the green water to drink.
This, for anybody who does not come from a potty family, consists of the water used to cook cabbage/greens, which is poured into a mug and seasoned with pepper and vinegar to flavour it.
Vitamins and all that.

Acceptable as an ingredient to mint sauce or if you've got a side order of chips, the latter being highly unlikely I know.
Then again, each to their own - if you like it on your dindins then throw it on!

Anything other than gravy or mint sauce (on lamb) is fucking retarded.
I'd spit at anyone who did that to a dinner I'd cooked.

Nurse, Half of my family are Irish and Mrs jfk is a full blown Mick. A bacon joint with boiled potatoes and cabbage all cooked in the same water is arguably my favourite meal when done right. The cooking liquor is the base for a top notch soup/ stew. Winter can't come soon enough in my book. Chile vinegar is a must on pie and mash along with white pepper in abundance. Vinegar on a roasts is for the underclass.

To hell with the dinner police, I like to splash a bit of brown sauce on my Sunday roast. I've only recently stopped putting it on my Christmas dinner cos of the looks of disgust I used to get. I like being a heathen!

Actually, mint sauce is nice, even if full of vinegar. And I like mustard, which contains it as well. But on chips, I hate it.

Thats a bit pikey isn't it? Are you one of these people that go to a restaurant and then ask for ketchup. I pretty much broke up with a bird over an 'asking for ketchup in a decent restaurant' incident. Slag.
